The charm of the Murgia

The apparently dry and barren land of this rocky plateau  is actually rich in history and meaning. In these cavities of the Murgia, living proof of prehistoric men, their habits, and their beliefs still exist. The small Neolithic villages, cave churches, and estate farms alternate with the steppes, rocky landscape scenario, and  endless rows of shrubs. The vegetation is dense and releases intense aromas of herbs, while the undergrowth is home to many species of animals, granting renewed experiences of rural life. The park of the Murgia encompasses immense treasures, a triumph of colors and scents that are typical of the Mediterranean, where you can realize how  ancient human activity rarely took from nature more than what was needed to live.
